We
love what Mega Motion did with this lift recliner. For starters, the
color selection is fabulous. There are 6 different calming colors to
choose from. One thing to note, however, is that it is a smaller chair,
so it may not be as comfortable for larger buyers.<br />
The
electrically motorized lift allows a person to sit in 3 different
positions, creating optimum comfort. Just be careful not to slip out of
the chair while it’s moving and it should be a fantastic experience.
It’s also heavy duty, lifting up to 325 pounds effortlessly. Whether
you’re purely unwinding from the day or recovering from an injury, this
is a great recliner for extensive relaxation.<br />

To chose the best massaging recliner,
customers should determine how much money they wish to spend on the
chair, and the intensity level of the massage they want to receive.
Inexpensive models can provide stress relief, but may not target problem
muscle areas. Deep tissue massages are available in high-end chairs
which cost up to ten times that of the base massaging versions.
Additional features to look for include pre-programmed massage sessions,
remote controls, and heated seats.
</div>
The
most economically priced type of massaging recliner is one that is
compatible with a desk. This chair resembles a traditional high backed
executive office chair and is fashioned around a durable metal frame.
Most models are capable of reclining slightly and are sold with a
non-massaging ottoman. These recliners are typically sold for a few
hundred US Dollars (USD) and feature basic vibrational motors. Chairs
are equipped with between six and 10 motors for massaging purposes, and
vibrate in high tension areas, such as the lower back, shoulders, and
thighs. This type of recliner can relax the user and relieve stress,
however it is not designed to provide the same benefits as those of a
deep tissue massage.<br />
<div class="suggested">
Customers who require a
higher intensity level of therapy may wish to invest in a massaging
recliner that uses rotational kneading balls. The rotational motors
replicate the motions created by a human hand and wrist, and move in
circular patterns over common stress points. Tension knots are greatly
reduced by this type of movement, and blood flow can be increased to
problem areas. Recliners are typically sold with a non-massaging
ottoman or are built with a massaging fold out foot rest. This type of
chair is typically sold for around $1,000 USD and is slightly larger
than desk compatible models.
</div>
<div class="suggested">
A full body shiatsu
massaging recliner is the best type of chair available for deep tissue
massage and intensive muscle therapy. These chairs are equipped with
rotational motors that are free floating, and may be positioned in any
location along the neck, shoulders, and back. A massaging seat operates
separately to target both the thighs and buttocks. The chair features
an air ottoman that is designed to surround the calves and ankles with
firm, massaging pressure that improves blood flow and reduces swelling
in the lower extremities. This type of recliner is the most expensive,
traditionally sold between $3,000 and $5,000 USD, and is one of the few
massage chair models that has been endorsed by the American Chiropractic
Association (ACA).
</div>
Other features which
customers may find useful in a massaging recliner are built in massage
programs, an attachable remote control, and heat therapy. All three
types of chair offer several models that include five to ten
pre-programmed massage sessions which alternate the motor speeds and
locations to simulate receiving a hands-on massage. The remote control
allows the user to change the settings manually, or begin a new program
without moving from the chair. Heat therapy warms the chair along the
seat and lower back areas to relax and comfort sore muscles.<br />

How Do I Choose the Best Kid Recliner?</h1>

<div style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Droid Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 18px; outline: none; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
Children’s <a href="http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-recliner.htm" style="color: #24364f; margin: 0px; outline: none;">recliners</a> have the same basic structure as an adult <a href="http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-recliner.htm" style="color: #24364f; margin: 0px; outline: none;">recliner</a>. The size is the only difference in most cases, but the discerning consumer needs to watch for different features when selecting the best kid recliner. Children have different uses for their recliners. They are not likely to be sitting back to watch a three-hour sporting event or chat with friends but will be getting in and out of their chairs often. Three key issues to consider when choosing a children’s recliner are the strength of the frame, the durability of the fabric and the ease of use.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Droid Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 18px; outline: none; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">
A frame built from solid oak is common for children’s recliners, and these structures are the best on the market. A quality kid recliner will have a sturdy base structure that will withstand children plopping into the seats. The easiest way to examine the structure is to turn over the recliner, which is pretty simple with a small recliner. The support wood should be solid and thick and hold up all parts of the recliner. The support beams need to be in a square to support the seat, and the best small recliners will have supports between the four legs of the support structure.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Droid Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px; margin-bottom: 18px; outline: none; padding: 0px; text-align: justify;">

<div id="continue" style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The Consumer Product Safety Commission filed an administrative complaint Wednesday alleging that the new model of the Nap Nanny, called the Chill, and two earlier versions "pose a substantial risk of injury and death to infants."</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The commission is seeking an order that would require Nap Nanny maker Baby Matters LLC of Berwyn, Pa., to notify the public about what the agency deems a serious product defect.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The agency also wants the company to offer consumers a full refund. Baby Matters went out of business a month ago, according to an email from the company.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
On its website is a message from owner and founder Leslie Gudel that says, "We do not believe the complaint has merit and stand behind the safety of our product when used as instructed."</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
She adds that "no infant using the Nap Nanny properly has ever suffered an injury requiring medical attention."</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Some of the cases involved recliners that were placed in a crib, which the company has urged parents not to do.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The Nap Nanny should be placed on the floor with the harness secured.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The first two versions of the foam recliner were recalled in July 2010 when the agency was aware of one death and 22 reports of infants hanging out or falling over the side of the Nap Nanny even though most of the infants had been placed in the recliner's harness. Since then, the agency has learned of 4 more deaths.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Four are linked to the first versions of the recliner, and one to the newer model. In all, the CPSC says it has received over 70 reports of children nearly falling out of the recliners.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The commission filed the complaint after discussions with the company broke down over a recall plan.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
The Nap Nanny was designed to mimic the curves of a baby car seat, elevating an infant slightly to help reduce reflux, gas, stuffiness or other problems.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Five thousand Nap Nanny Generation One and 50,000 Generation Two models were sold between 2009 and early 2012.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
About 100,000 Chill models have been sold since January 2011.</div>

<h1 style="font-weight: normal;">
<span style="font-size: small;"> Recliner lift chairs are a group of chairs in the lift chair family. The
chairs are equipped with a powered system to lift and can hence push
the chair from its basal position upwards, thus enabling the user to
come up to a standing posture. Apart from the lifting mechanism, a
recliner lift chair is also capable of flattening out or reclining up to
certain angles, which gives the user more comfortable positions to rest
or sleep. Such chairs are especially beneficial to the aged people,
those suffering from infirmity or the people with disability providing
greater comfort and flexibility. The chairs start relatively cheap, but
more sophisticated features invariably involve bigger price tags.<br /><br />
Most recliner lift chairs have a capacity to handle weights up to 450
pounds. Some can even carry load of up to 700 pounds. Prices start
around $400 in the USA and can even exceed $2000 for a state-of-the art
leather luxury chair. Chief manufacturers are Pride Mobility, Golden
Technologies, Medlift, Action Lift Chair (ALC, Inc), etc.</span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /><br />
Recliner lift chairs come in several varieties. A chair having dual
positions has a lifted position and a slightly reclined "TV" position
for reading, relaxing or watching television. The user's back and thighs
stay at an angle of about 90 degrees to each other in the reclined
position. Such chairs cannot be slanted enough for the purpose of
sleeping. A chair having one more position, i.e. 3, has an additional
full recline position of approximately 135 degrees, which would allow
most people to sleep comfortably. An innumerable position recliner lift
chair can go fully flat, with the back and feet sections being able to
move independently. It may even allow the so called Trendelenburg
posture, where the feet stay at a height above the heart's height.</span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: small;">A potential hazard with a recliner lift chair lies with its strong grip
formed by the frame and the motor. Unsuspecting children and pets run
the risk of getting caught and crushed. After reported infant deaths in
Oklahoma, USA and Manchester, UK, a safety standard for the product has
been passed in order to alleviate any risk of injury/ death caused due
to this chair (BS 8474). Still, not all manufacturers have attempted to
fulfill the safety standards. Recently, La-Z-Boy, a New York stock
exchange listed US manufacturer has modified its range of recliner lift
chairs to meet the UK safety standard.</span></h1>

</hgroup>
<div class="deck">
Power recliners are slimming down in price and in size. However, the
cost of leather is soaring, and manufacturers are searching for
alternatives that can duplicate the look.<br />
By Sharon Stangenes<br /><span>Article Published: <time datetime="2012-01-01" pubdate="">January 2012</time><br />Best Buy Recommendations: Current</span> <br />
<br />
Are you literally stuck in the rut of your cushy, oversize power
recliner? If you’re shopping for a sleeker recliner to spruce up the
family room or to replace Dad’s old brown clunker, you’ll find more
power-reclining options and more leather-substitute coverings than you
would have found 4 years ago.<br />
Trapped in an industry slump thanks to the moribund housing market and
the sluggish economy, recliner-makers have introduced models that have
slimmer, straighter and more tailored designs. That’s a turnabout from
the market lineup in 2008, when we observed that overstuffed models were
making a comeback. But all of the furniture experts and manufacturers
with whom we spoke tell us that power recliners are so prevalent now
that the emphasis is on making them as nimble and as sleek as possible.
In fact, manufacturers even are introducing power-reclining elements
into more models of love seats, sectional sets and sofas.<br />
“Today, everyone wants power,” says Don Hunter of Catnapper, which is a recliner brand of Jackson Furniture.<br />
<span class="large"><strong>POWERFUL.</strong></span> A big reason why
power recliners have been able to slim down is because the electrical
components that drive power-reclining mechanisms have shrunk so much in
size and price in the past 4 years. A power-reclining mechanism can be
added to most styles of recliners as an option, and a power version can
cost as little as $100 more than the manual version.<br />
That price drop—and an increased interest in creating home theaters
around high-definition TVs in the family room and living room—has turned
power recliners into a major focus of recliner manufacturers in the
past 4 years, says Chip Piekenbrock of manufacturer Flexsteel. For
consumers, this means that they can expect to find about 50 percent more
models of power recliners on the market than were available in 2008.
That’s notable when you consider that the business climate has been so
shaky for furniture-makers that the well-known brand Berkline closed in
2011 and another well-known brand, Barcalounger, went through bankruptcy
in 2010 (but remained open).<br />
<br />
Four years ago, power recliners that were marketed for home-theater
rooms that have large-screen HDTVs and elaborate lighting and sound
systems looked like bulky versions of movie-theater seats. But today’s
models are sleek, and they now often come with their own LED mood lights
that are located under the seat. And features that are aimed at a
home-theater audience are coming to lower priced models. You now can
find power recliners that have storage pillows, illuminated cupholders,
touch-control headrests, and coordinating trays and tables that start at
about $900. Recliners that had those features 4 years ago started at
roughly $1,300.<br />
But manufacturers also are bolstering their products. Power-reclining
mechanisms are becoming more rugged, and companies now are willing to
back their power components with a longer warranty. Flexsteel and
Klaussner are the first to include 5-year warranties for all of the
electrical components that are in their motion recliners; typically 1–3
years is the industry norm. No other manufacturer has announced plans to
follow Flexsteel and Klaussner’s lead with a 5-year warranty for
electrical components, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see more
companies extend their warranties in the next year or two.<br />
And Flexsteel and Palliser now sell cordless battery units—typically a
$299 option—to operate any of the power recliners that are in their
lines. Having a battery unit allows you to place your power recliner
anywhere in your home; it doesn’t have to be near an outlet. The
rechargeable power packs work for 200–300 cycles of opening and closing,
which means that they’ll work for up to 50 days based on average use
before you need to recharge the power pack. The power pack beeps, like a
cordless phone does, when it has to be plugged into an outlet to
recharge. This is useful, so you can avoid getting stuck in your chair
by a dead battery.<br />
<br />
<span class="large"><strong>RELAX AND BE WELL.</strong></span> It
shouldn’t be a surprise that the demand for power recliners has
increased as the baby boomer generation entered its golden years. But
companies aren’t aiming just at seniors.<br />
“For young people in their 20s accustomed to power everything, there is
a coolness in power furnishings,” says Lynne Schipp of Kittle’s
Furniture, which is a retailer in Indianapolis.<br />
<div class="image r">
<img alt="LEATHER SOARS. The rising price of leather means that today’s leather recliners are $200 more expensive than they were a year ago." src="http://www.consumersdigest.com/images/made/images/uploads/article/LIFESTYLE_3_240_201_s_c1_center_top_0_0.jpg" width="240" />
<div class="cc w240">
<div class="caption">
LEATHER SOARS. The rising price of
leather means that today’s leather recliners are $200 more expensive
than they were a year ago.</div>
</div>
</div>
We wouldn’t go so far as to say recliners are hip and happening, but
they certainly can do more than they could 4 years ago. For example,
American Leather has a model in a new collection that’s called Comfort
Recliner ($5,200) that uses a unique, nonpowered weight-balanced
mechanism that allows you to glide the recliner to any angle simply by
leaning on the chair back without having to push on the arms. Unlike
other recliners that are on the market, the back and the footrest work
independently and can slide into an unlimited number of positions.<br />
Four years ago, power-bed chaise recliners cost about $2,000. But
Franklin now offers a power-bed chaise recliner that unfolds into a bed
that has a memory-foam topper for $599, and a growing number of similar
recliners are being built for people who have mobility problems but want
more-mainstream styling. Four years ago, these chaise recliners were
drab and overstuffed and looked like the sort of thing that you would
find in a hospital room. But the new ones that we’ve seen in the past 2
years are much sleeker and actually can match the furniture in a modern
or traditional living room.<br />
Speaking of recliners that are pitched toward health issues, you might
notice La-Z-Boy advertising its endorsement by American Chiropractic
Association (ACA). In 2011, La-Z-Boy became the second recliner
manufacturer to be so endorsed. (Premium recliner manufacturer Ekornes
is the other.) That might sound good, but you should keep in mind that
La-Z-Boy paid a fee to ACA to get this endorsement, and La-Z-Boy’s
chairs didn’t meet any independent criteria to win the ACA label. In
other words, the endorsement is nothing more than a marketing tool. As
recliner manufacturers continue to aim at consumers who have health
issues, we expect to see more companies use similar marketing ploys to
try to lure buyers.<br />

<span class="large"><strong>RELAX AND BE WELL.</strong></span> It
shouldn’t be a surprise that the demand for power recliners has
increased as the baby boomer generation entered its golden years. But
companies aren’t aiming just at seniors.<br />
“For young people in their 20s accustomed to power everything, there is
a coolness in power furnishings,” says Lynne Schipp of Kittle’s
Furniture, which is a retailer in Indianapolis.<br />

<span class="large"><strong>LESS LEATHER.</strong></span> Besides power
mechanisms, we also have seen a lot of innovation in recliner fabric.
In the past 12 months, leather prices have risen faster because of
global supply-and-demand imbalances than they have in the past 10 years,
says Mike Delgatti, who is president of Hooker Upholstery. That means
that today’s leather recliners are as much as $200 more expensive than
they were a year ago, whereas a price jump of $30–$40 is more typical.
And it also means that a recliner that has full authentic leather is
more difficult to find among today’s economy and midrange recliners.<br />
“At one time, we showed eight to 10 leather chairs, but this [year], I
have just one new introduction, and it is at the upper end for
$699–$799, depending upon the quality of leather,” says Chuck Tidwell,
who is vice president of Franklin.<br />
Franklin is typical of all of the other manufacturers with which we
spoke. The high prices have sent manufacturers looking for leather
alternatives to keep their recliner prices the same, because an
estimated 30 percent to 40 percent of sales over the past 5 years have
been recliners that have leather covers.<br />
As a result, now you’ll find a lot of mostly vinyl recliners that have
leather “everywhere the body touches,” which means the seat, back
cushion and inside of the chair arm. We believe that the technology to
match the color and look of leather and vinyl has become quite good in
the past 4 years, and we found that it now sometimes is difficult to
discern the difference between the two coverings. What’s better is that
we also found that the latest recliners that have these
alternative-leather coverings feel like real leather. However, you
should be aware that even if they appear to be a close match, the
leather and vinyl might not age and fade at the same rate, so you could
end up with two-tone furniture in a few years, depending on how much
sunlight that your recliner absorbs. Also, from what we’ve seen of
leather-and-vinyl furniture, the seams where the two coverings are
joined are often frayed and look like they would be susceptible to
tearing.<br />
Consumers also will find more widespread use of bonded leather, which
is a synthetic fabric that was introduced 5 years ago to approximate the
look and feel of leather in economy recliners. <em>Bonded leather</em> actually includes little leather; it’s made by grinding up leather shavings and spraying them with an adhesive onto a backing.<br />
Bonded leather looked shiny and garish when it arrived in the market,
and we found that it often faded and separated. But the latest
bonded-leather fabrics come in a variety of styles, and the experts with
whom we spoke say fabric mills seem to have solved the fading and
separation issues. That’s a comforting development.</div>

Indeed, people have started to prefer Palliser leather recliners than other brands.<br /><br />Palliser is the company that only deals with the highest quality leather from the tanneries of South America, Germany and Italy. While talking about leather, leather is warm in winter and cool in summer, different from what people assume. Natural fabric leather lasts for many years with little care and that is one of the reasons consumers go for it.<br /><br />Here are some of the basic maintenance and cleaning guidelines to keep your Palliser leather recliners.<br /><br /><br /> * Make sure that you use dry cloths when you are dust cleaning your furniture. You can also use a vacuum for crevasse cleaning.<br /><br /> * While you are making arrangements for your leather furniture, you check out that your furniture is not under direct sun light because long exposure to the sun can fade the color of the leather or soften it up.<br /><br /> * Use the best quality conditioner once or twice in a year for leather cleaning. If you don't use the leather that often then you can use it once a year.<br /><br /> * Be careful while applying any method of cleaning to your Palliser leather recliner. Don't use too much solution or too little.<br /><br /> * Instantaneously mop off liquid that spills on your furniture. Here you can use a spongy cotton, or other kind of soft cloth to take the moisture off.<br /><br /> * Use of soapy water can damage your Palliser leather recliner.<br /><br /> * While stain endures for long periods of time, call a professional leather cleaner immediately. Any other self-attempt can spread the stain or smash up the leather.<br /><div style="overflow: hidden; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); text-align: left; text-decoration: none; border: medium none;"><br /><br /></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938811042943891558.post-80898037597401234832010-05-16T03:02:00.000-07:002010-05-16T03:09:04.870-07:00One of the alternative choices in Interior design that has become rather popular in the last several years is upholstered walls. Often regarded as the best 'big boys' chair, the recliner chair is a very comfy chair that is built for both indoor and outdoor use.<br /><br />These recliner chairs have a truly adjustable reclining operation so that the user can adjust the reclining chair in the way they find most cosy. The wide range of styles and models of riser recliners now available means there's recliner furniture to blend with any style of room. These recliner chairs are ideal for individuals who are taller or larger than average. With their adjustable seat height and higher back supports these models are brilliant. In addition, storage areas can hold cold drinks or gadgets like television remote controls or mobile phones.</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; ">Lots of the types of recliner chairs include the sofa type, sectional, loveseat, recliner, and naturally the conventional chair. There are outside recliner chairs too which are excellent for the yard.<br /><br />The TCS swivel reclining chair is one more item of furniture that may come in extremely useful as it is very flexible. The wide range of swivelling recliner chair models available means that they may be employed for the office or even as an additional chair in a den or bedroom. As with some more sorts of chair, swivel recliner chairs are available in a range of sizes, colours, and made of a number of fabrics. For those leather recliners that come with accessories such as footrests you must also consider the room area you have to install it in.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: 13px; ">Naturally it isn't just one maker that boasts this recliner functionality as there are lots of competing recliner chairs that offer the very best way to relax at home. Some of the top brands are: Stressless, Celebrity, La-z-Boy (often referred to as Lazy Boy or Lazyboy), Relaxateeze and TCS. Recliners can cost a lot more than standard chair types, though their adaptability means they're well worth the additional initial investment.<br /><br />According to your necessities, reclining chairs are built as massage chairs, regular seats, and full-featured home theater recliners. The massage type of recliner chairs can have built-in infra red heat technology and music that's's actually synchronised to the tempo of the massage cycle. A massage type of recliner chair will also have several pre-configured massage routines so you can use the one you like most. The massaging recliner is glorious at relieving tired and sore muscles.<br /><br />These 3 types of recliner chair all have their individual benefits and uses. Of course there are so many styles, designs and forms to make a choice from the price can vary significantly, but the Net has the best range to make a choice from. My personal favourites are the recliner chairs from Stressless Ekornes as they are so comfortable but very stylish too.</span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938811042943891558.post-1903937471414424022010-01-28T17:29:00.000-08:002010-01-28T17:32:14.926-08:00Different Types of Recliners<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: medium; border-collapse: collapse; ">Do you know there are different types of leather recliners? According to furnituresmart.com, there are three types of leather recliners: the traditional two position recliner, the rocker/wall-saver recliner and the push-back/flex-back recliner. Let's take a closer look at these 3 different types of recliners:<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold; ">Two-position recliner</span>:<br />Comparing to the other types, this type of recliner is less expensive and you can get one for as low as $99. While we still categorize it as leather recliner, it is not fully covered by real leather. Some parts like outside back and side panels are actually covered by viny. It is exactly where it dramatically reduces the price of the recliner. Although the two-position is cheaper, it has limited selection of styles and fabrics and in most cases, the warranty is only offered for no more than 1 year. </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: medium;"><span style="font-weight: bold; ">The Rocker/Wall-saver Recliner</span>:<br />This is the most popular recliner and thus it is most widely manufactured. With this recliner, you can rock while seated upright and it has a lot of different reclining angles. As the name indicated, if you go with the wall-saver option, you can position the recliner very close to the wall. It is very ideal if you have limited spaces. Comparing to the two-position recliner, it has a greater selection of styles and fabrics and an assortment of reclining angles. However, it is more expensive and the wall-saver recliner does not feature the rocking mechanism.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold; ">Push-back Recliners</span><br />Unlike the previous 2 types of recliners, the push-back recliner is mostly covered with leather and it fits well in a modern-looking room with its sleek design. While it is more stylish, the uses of leather make it more much more expensive. It is a great recliner chair in the way that it does not automatically recliner when someone is seated.<br /><br />For more information about leather recliners, you can visit sections such as <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.allleatherrecliners.com/" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 204); border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; ">leather recliner</a> , <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.allleatherrecliners.com/leather-recliner-chair.html" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 204); border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; ">recliner chair</a>and <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.allleatherrecliners.com/recliner-sofa.html" style="color: rgb(0, 102, 204); border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; ">recliner sofa</a> from our recliner guide. </span></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938811042943891558.post-29711080222344038142010-01-24T16:59:00.000-08:002010-01-24T17:05:44.713-08:00Berkline Recliners and Sofas<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial; font-size: 13px; color: rgb(153, 153, 153); "><span>Written by </span><a onclick="Track.click('/Article/Home+Garden/Byline/author')" href="http://www.zimbio.com/member/kurojohns" style="text-decoration: none; color: rgb(36, 67, 102); ">kurojohns</a> </span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;font-size:100%;color:#999999;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px; ">Perhaps you are thinking about changing out your current furniture. However, as in all furniture, everyday use (and misuse) can wear your favorite, overused chair out. Even if you swore by taking care and maintaining your Lazyboy, time will come when your recliner will need professional repair and maintenance.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; ">When your Lazyboy recliner starts to fail you, it is very important that you promptly attend to it and have it checked as soon as possible. Just leaving it as is, and assuming that it will not worsen, can lead your chair prone to more damage. As you know, more damage means more repair costs.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; ">When this happens, how do you get your Lazyboy recliner repaired? Below are some useful tips.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; "><strong>Check the warranty coverage.</strong><br />If you have just recently bought your Lazyboy brand new, your recliner may still be entitled to a warranty. Most Lazyboy recliners have limited lifetime warranty on many mechanisms and certain parts, while most other parts are covered for at least a year for repair and service. If your recliner acts up and it is not your fault, you can have it repaired for free under the warranty conditions. Bear in mind though that this warranty is not covered if your recliner was damaged due to improper handling, and if it shows signs of abnormal use such as excessive soiling. Moreover, the warranty does not pay for freight charges for transport and handling.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; "><strong>Consult with your dealer.</strong><br />If your warranty coverage is expired, your next option is to contact your dealer or the furniture shop where you bought your Lazyboy recliner from. If you have bought your recliner from a reliable authorized Lazyboy dealer, they should be able to assist you with your repair needs. They will surely have the experience in recliner repair and would know what to suggest. They might even have in house repair staff that can do the repairs for you. If your original dealer is inaccessible, you can check for nearby authorized dealers. You can check out the Lazyboy website for a list of local dealers in your area.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; "><strong>Contact your local repairman.</strong><br />If your warranty has expired, or if the repairs to be done are not covered by the warranty, you will shoulder all the repair costs. Repair costs are generally heavy on the pocket, so you might find it more affordable to ask the help of your local repairman. Find a repairman who already had experience in repairing recliners. Should the repair need spare parts, your local repairman should be able to assist you in finding them. Ask around for recommendations for a good repairman in your area.</p><p style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: normal; "><strong>Check your manual.</strong><br />There are simple Lazyboy problems that you can fix yourself, and they are all listed in the manual that came with your purchase. The manual also gives you tips and suggestions for taking care of your Lazyboy recliner. But, never try to do it yourself if the repairs needs professional handling to do. A recliner is not a wooden chair so unless you know its intricate details, ask for the help of someone who does.</p></span></span></span></div></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938811042943891558.post-44111863915839425602010-01-03T16:04:00.000-08:002010-01-03T16:13:56.423-08:00Exercise, Eat Well and...Recline?<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 16px; "><div class="byline" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 7px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-size: 11px; color: rgb(119, 119, 119); "><abbr title="2009-12-09T06:34:00-0800" class="timedate" style="border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; font-variant: normal; ">Wed Dec 9, 9:34 am ET</abbr></div><div class="yn-story-content" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; "><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 1em; padding-left: 0px; line-height: 18px; ">Reduce Stress with Healthy Behaviors and Reclining at Home</p><p style="margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 1em; padding-left: 0px; line-height: 18px; "><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1260373378_0" style="cursor: pointer; background-image: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; -webkit-background-clip: initial; -webkit-background-origin: initial; background-color: transparent; border-bottom-style: none; border-bottom-width: initial; border-bottom-color: initial; background-position: initial initial; ">Monroe, Michigan</span> (<span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1260373378_1">Vocus</span>) December 9, 2009 -- Unemployment is high, job security is low and the economy has yet to make a big comeback. A waiter had just brought a chilled $49 bottle of Schramsberg sparkling wine and was ready for their order.<br /><br />Tina was contemplating the $14 plate of fried calamari with ginger and lemon, while Stephen had a hankering for the $19 New York strip steak sandwich.<br /><br />The Galloways are hardly high rollers -- he's a property manager and she's a social worker. Still, the Pasadena couple were more than willing to fork over $29 each for a movie ticket, on top of the bill for champagne and finger food.<br /><br />"We've never experienced anything like this," Tina said of the Pasadena movie house, which opened this month.<br /><br />Forget Milk Duds and popcorn. Welcome to the movie theater industry's equivalent of the first-class tourist cabin: the luxury theater.<br /><br />Betting that moviegoers will pay triple the average price of a U.S. movie ticket to be pampered like Hollywood moguls may seem odd at a time when the bargain mentality is gripping consumers.<br /><br />But Australian theater operator Village Roadshow Ltd. believes it can rattle the U.S. industry by introducing its upscale Gold Class Cinemas, which have been a big hit Down Under.<br /><br />"Our secret agenda in America is: Not only are we going to make money, we'll make a lot of money. . . . This will shake up those exhibitors, and there are a lot of them, that have poor offerings," said Graham Burke, chief executive of Village Roadshow. "You go into some of these places and there's gum on the floors. Gold Class is the opposite. [Customers] get treated like royalty, like a king."<br /><br />The Pasadena theater is the fourth U.S. outpost for Gold Class. The chain expanded into the U.S. last year, opening two theaters in affluent suburbs of Chicago and one in Redmond, Wash., the home of Microsoft Corp. Through a $200-million joint venture with Norman Lear's Act III Communications and other partners, Village Roadshow plans to open as many as 30 luxury theaters nationwide over the next five years. Future locations include Austin, Texas, and Scottsdale, Ariz., and possibly Santa Monica and Costa Mesa.<br /><br />Although movie theaters have done a brisk business this year, some industry analysts wonder whether people will be willing to pay the premium ticket price on top of a pricey food and beverage tab, given the cutback in consumer spending.<br /><br />"With the current state of the economy, that's a long row to hoe," said Bruce Austin, a communications professor at Rochester Institute of Technology who has conducted research on movie audiences.<b style="font-weight: 700; "></b>"That seems like a lot of money to ask for a very narrow slice of the top end of the market."<br /><br />But Gold Class executives are confident that even in a down economy, customers will pay up for silver-platter service.<br /><br />Initial signs are encouraging, they say, noting that the newly opened Pasadena theater sold out eight of its first 11 nights.<br /><br />"People like going to restaurants like Spago, Osteria Mozza and Nobu," Burke said. "They're the people who go to Gold Class. They're the same people who will buy a Mercedes-Benz and will fly first class because they get benefit and quality."<br /><br />Recession notwithstanding, Gold Class is tapping into the growing luxury cinema niche, as theater operators look for new ways to draw upmarket homebound moviegoers -- or less-affluent customers looking to splurge on a special night out -- and capture some of the lucrative business that goes to restaurants and bars.<br /><br />"There's a whole range of food services and premium services being tried out," said Patrick Corcoran, director of media and research for the National Assn. of Theatre Owners. "Some of this is about getting back the adult moviegoers. These are people who are generally better off than other segments of the population and they are used to getting catered to."<br /><br />Some small theater operators, such as Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas, offer in-theater food and beverage services, as do some of the industry's largest theater companies. Kansas City, Mo.-based AMC Entertainment Inc., for example, has been testing casual and more upscale food and beverage services at theaters in Kansas City and Atlanta and plans to expand the offerings to as many as a dozen theaters in the next year. At AMC's Cinema Suites, moviegoers can dine and order alcoholic drinks in plush, reclining seats with lots of legroom.<br /><br />"The demand for in-theater dining is there," AMC spokesman Justin Scott said.<br /><br />Locally, Gold Class has some competition. The Arclight cinemas in Hollywood and Sherman Oaks, the Bridge Cinema de Lux near Los Angeles International Airport and Muvico Theaters' Thousand Oaks 14 multiplex offer many of the same amenities, such as reserved seating, plush recliners and bar and lounge access.<br /><br />Gold Class, however, says it's taking pampering to a higher level.</div></span></span></span></span></span></div></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7938811042943891558.post-79635614868160059902009-11-20T17:46:00.000-08:002009-11-20T17:50:39.784-08:00Nograhany Widhi K - detikNewsUS Medical Supplies is pleased to announce the addition of a new line of swing recliners from Nirvana Swing Company.<br /><br />Raleigh, NC, November 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- US Medical Supplies, online provider of medical and mobility products, today announced the addition of Nirvana Swing Recliners to the US Medical Supplies web site. DALESIO • OCTOBER 24, 2009<br /><br />RALEIGH — Ah, the recliner. The American invention that linked lazing in the living room to television and frozen dinners is one of the few bright spots in a well-worn U.S. household furniture industry.<br />Sales of reclining chairs are getting a lift from the growing popularity of high-tech TVs, home theater equipment and video games, as well as an aging population that is less active. Even the recession, which forced many Americans to cancel vacation plans, seemed to have helped sales of the comfy lounge chairs.<br /><br />“People think, ‘I'm not going to travel. Doggone it, when I go home I'm going to be comfortable,'” said Don Hunter, who heads Catnapper, a recliner-focused division of Jackson Furniture Industries in Cleveland, Tenn.<br /><br />Sales of reclining chairs and sofas totaled $3.5 billion last year and are expected to climb to $4 billion within five years, according to trade magazine Furniture/Today and New York-based Easy Analytic Software Inc.<br /><br />That's a stark contrast to the nearly 13 percent drop in sales furniture stores saw through September this year, compared with the same nine-month period last year, according to census data. That bad news includes a slight 1.4 percent rise in retail sales from August to September, the government reported this month.<br /><br />At the fall edition of the High Point Furniture Market, several manufacturers will be showcasing recliners with more gizmos.<br /><br />Latest in accessories<br /><br />Berkline is introducing a recliner line starting at $699 with installed stereo speakers, a subwoofer and a plug for an iPod. The company has an existing model called the ButtKicker, which can be hooked up to a special amplifier that delivers the shakes and vibrations of the action on your home theater system.<br /><br />Also new this year, is a top end to the line of massage chairs retailing for about $1,200-$2,400. The deluxe version offered this year costs $2,599, conforms to the shape of the user's body and includes a system of pressurized air bags for a massage that mimics human hands.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
